Thanks for updating your blog. It is so wonderful to hear of your adventures! We will be praying for your safe return and “adjustment” back to American culture. Looking forward to hearing more and having you challenge us. You’ve had an amazing opportunity to see a bigger part of the kingdom through God’s eyes.

On another note, the life group wants to celebrate your return, so let us connect on a time and place when you get back. Portal has struggled a bit with committment and consistency, so we are joining other life groups the end of March. I think most are excited/understanding of the change.

Next time you see us, we will have a baby! We have a c-section scheduled next week Thursday the 24th at noon.

1) Those paper snowflakes are AMAZING!!! I have neither seen nor made such beautiful snowflakes. You must teach me your ways.

Monkeys? And no photos? What’s up with that?

We heard TIA a few times in Cameroon as well. Another thing we heard more often was something like, “Aaaallllll of Cameroon is a toilet!” which was the customary response to Westerners complaining about the rarity of bathrooms.

If you’ve ever seen “Blood Diamond” with Leo DiCaprio, they used the phrase “T.I.A.” quite a bit. I thought it was something they made up for the movie, so here’s to authenticity!
